This striking vase is part hand built, part thrown, with an elegant neck rising out of a body made from constructed slabs in stoneware clay. Glazed a deep blue with lilac speckling inside, the surface decoration of the vase is a hand-carved sgraffito depiction of English wildflowers. The milky white glaze draws out a lilac/blue tone from the cobalt clay slip beneath.  Measures 38cm.
